Donations instead of gifts

Bonn, December 19, 2016 – For the fifth time, ITConcepts decided to make a Christmas donation instead of gifts. They divided the amount equally among two projects – the children’s restaurant “Tischlein deck dich” in Bonn and the Förderverein RUHR Epileptologie in Bochum. “The enthusiasm, especially among the children of the restaurant, has confirmed to us how useful the money is spent this way,” explains Sven Moog, CEO of ITConcepts.

The hand-over of the donation at the children’s restaurant took place on the 19th of November. In several teams, 20 children and their cooking mentors prepare a wonderful lunch, so that once a month a real restaurant can open at the primary school. The cooking team prepares the food, the service team sets the table and serves lunch, and the guest team spends its time with crafting or an excursion while waiting to be called for lunch.

The projects “Tischlein deck dich” intends to share the experience of cooking healthy food together and the associated rituals of eating together among children who do not all have that in their everyday life.

Experience “Industry 4.0” at IZB

Wolfsburg, September 9, 2016 – Everyone is talking about industry 4.0. At IZB, we make digitalization in production more tangible for you. At our booth, you can see a contactless feed for forming machines in operation. The machine transports electrically conductive metal tapes via electromagnetic forces in presses or punches. The feed is twice as fast as mechanical devices and requires few movable parts, which leads to a reduction of maintenance costs and downtime.

But which part in that example does industry 4.0 play a role in? So far, machines have had integrated control systems and have been controlled from a connected personal computer. Uncoupling the control system has not been possible thus far. “We are currently developing a solution that will enable employees to control a whole production line from a mobile machine control system. For instance, employees can use a tablet from a flexible location to give instructions to a number of machines,” says Gernot Joswig, manager of ITConcepts Automotive. “We are working on a networked, intelligent production, and industry 4.0 is an important milestone for us!”

Curious? Then take a look at the revolutionary fleXfeed at our booth (Hall 3, Number 3311) and discuss the possibilities of industry 4.0 with us.
